| subject: | Rectifier Bulb? HoHoHo |
RS> I've only heard that called a full wave rectifier circuit, but not RS> a push-pull. I've only heard of push-pull in regards to RS> amplifiers. Learn something new every day. JB> It's the same anaolgy between push-pull and bridge amplifiers amplifier JB> output stages, just replace the transistors with diodes. :) I don't get the analogy. Push-pull amplifiers and a full-wave rectifier circuit using a center-tapped transformer seem similar; but, a bridged transformerless amplifier has both amplifiers conducting for 360ø whereas a bridge rectifier has individual diodes which are conducting for only 180ø.
