Hi Carl,
About the book you have mentioned several times by the Joiner Associates
which uses Demming's ideas, you wrote:
-> In this workbook, there are good solid practical ways to evaluate
-> methods and determine which one is working. Dr. William G. Hunter
-> was a well known educator who admired and used Deming's methods.
I would be interested in hearing more about this. Evaluating which
methods work would be very useful. I wonder how they control for the
fact that not every individual teacher has success, say, with
cooperative learning. Maybe it's possible that such a teacher is not
implementing the method correctly. How to their evaluations determine
whether it's the method or the way it's being implemented that is at
fault? Does it allow for, or recommend that, different teachers may want
to use different methods. What works for one teacher doesn't work for
every teacher?
Curious,
Sheila
