RB> A pyramid-selling scam is one where the people at the RB> bottom pay into the pyramid, then lose all their money RB> when the thing collapses! i.e. they gain nothing! Fraid not Dick, have a look at the law which proscribes pyramid selling. Its only marginally similar to what you say there. RB> To look at EWI with this argument proves that EWI isn't a pyramid-scam Fraid not Dick, what counts is what the law proscribes on pyramid selling. EWI is an illegal pyramid marketing scheme, whatever you and John claim. It may well also contravene the Trade Practices Act in a number of areas AS WELL, specifically that crap about $27K per month bullshit. RB> because even if the offer of promoting the business (i.e. the investment RB> with EWI and the network-marketing side of it) wasn't available, most RB> people who have joined it (around 14,000 now) would still join it as RB> there are many other benefits besides just buying a share in the company. All a tad irrelevant to the question of whether its a scam or not Dick. The better scams suck in lots of suckers. And they aint 'shares in the company' either Dick, we have some funky requirements on the issuing of prospectuses and stuff if you want to do that sort of thing. Wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if that alone is flouting the law too. RB> Though subscribing automatically qualifies people for a share in the RB> profits and the other benefits regardless of whether they "sell" it or not! Thats the claim, pity that those who do will do their dough Dick. They are just the poor suckers at the bottom of the pyramid who have their pockets pumped Dick. RB> I could give many more reasons which PROVE it isn't a scam. Nope. RB> So now I'm asking you to PROVE what you think: No thanks, I'm quite happy to point out an illegal pyramid marketing scheme when one is spruiked by spivs and con men like you and John, so people who dont realise that its a scam might realise instead of having their pockets pumped. Presumably eventually the authoritys will get off their arse after enough droids have been shafted and shut you down, and hopefully shaft the likes of you and John too. RB> The excuse that John tried to con people into it by RB> writing "you could earn up to $27,000" is irrelevant. Fraid not Dick, there are a number of things that scream SCAM, and thats one of them. The other is that stuff about the droids who get their pockets pumped are over here, the purported use of their money is in the US, where its MUCH harder for them to see that it aint getting spent Dick. And its trivial to do a Ponzi scheme to keep things reasonably quiet until you have pumped enough pockets, then the spivs and con men running the scheme bugger of the Bahamas or wherever and bare their arses at those who had their pockets pumped. Some of the intermediate level suckers like you and John may well get the local authoritys putting your balls in the vice coz they can grab you and they cant touch those who have buggered off to the Bahamas. RB> This isn't incorrect. IT's just misleading to think you'll RB> earn that much by doing nothing! You won't obviously. Tell the Trade Practices people when they come calling Dick. RB> But for those who put in a bit of effort they can earn this much RB> or more. Again... a misleading advert doesn't make it a scam! Fraid so, and happens to be illegal to boot. The law is the law Dick. RB> Innocent until PROVEN guilty is how our legal system works. It does indeed, BUT thats courts and trials Dick. It aint up to ME to prove you guilty, its up to the prosecutor if they charge YOU. RB> btw Rod... Netmail your address & phone-number to me... RB> I'll find someone local to you who'll be glad RB> to call you and have a REAL argument over this! No thanks, spivs and con men aint welcome, I set the dogs on those. RB> If you don't do this... then tell me what you're scared of!? I aint scared of spivs and con men Dick, I recon I can see them coming. There is always the shotgun if they get too enthusiastic about trying to loot my place illegally too. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 |
