My mother, a retired teacher from Arizona, is sitting here next to me. She 
and I speak from experience - it's difficult to get hired in Arizona as well 
unless you are willing to take the boondock schools. I taught there in 
1978-1980 (vocal/general Music in Kearny, AZ); Mom taught there from 1970 to 
1995 (5th grade; Eloy).
