True, and the Democratic Governor got it under control.

Too little, too late.  The medical system was and still is under strain
for getting sufficient PPE.  In many areas the hospitals are strained to
over capacity.  We do not have any effective treatment pharmaceuticals.

How about a fair comparison:  what's more important?
going to school or having people get sick and die?
going to church or having people get sick and die?
going to a funeral or having people get sick and die?
going to a political rally or having people get sick and die?

Protesting is a constitutional right.  Rioting is a crime.  Do not
confuse the two.

 DS> One thousand plus deaths per day.  more than 160,000 deaths overall.

 GD> How many die each year from the flu?

Estimates seem to vary between less than 10,000 and 50,000.  There is no
comparison.  A better question would be how many people might not have
died if the federal government at least tried to do something about
COVID instead of a policy somewhere between wishing it will soon go away
and pushing blame to the states.
