subject: Rectifier Bulb? HoHoHo

-> TW> Good Idea but for higher currents light bulbs selection can be a
-> TW> problem. Where do you find a light bulb that will draw 2 or 3 Amps at 5
-> TW> Volts?

-> An automotive brake light of 36 Watts would
-> draw 3 Amps {at} 12 Volts. At 5 Volts the lower
-> voltage would draw less current, but, the
-> filament would be cooler (and therefore would
-> have an even lower resistance than it does at
-> 12 Volts) and so would draw closer to 2 Amps.

 Actualy it could Draw More cureent at 5 volts becasue the Colder
filiment would have less resistance.
 Have to play with that one some day.
