subject: Lost LORD Authors, etc.

This sums up my message writing.

Inactive project #1 is further work on Outlands Tavern. I will restore
Food/Drink sales, using the same food/drink names mainly as Jason used, in
version 1.1. But I have to design from scratch all of the random events
that occur when something is bought and eaten/drunk. And I just needed to
focus on something else for awhile.

Whenever Lord for Windows is available in beta format, I plan to develop
32-bit versions of Jason Brown's IGms unless he chooses to do so himself.
All of the programs that were released were heavily debugged by beta
testers, and not one person has ever mentioned any bugs. Very nice. Then
again, no one besides the beta testers, and Jason, ever thanked me for
updating the programs either. Bummer. But I was told when I got started
that BBS authors often never get much praise or feedback, and have found
that is unfortunately very true.

We have lost perhaps forever more Lord authors over the course of the last
year, and in at least one case, they are lost because people failed to send
in feedback on that author's programs. If anyone wants to keep the
remaining Lord authors supporting programs, please remember to give them
feedback!
=======================================

Inactive project #2 is finishing up The recompile of The Outhouse v2.00.
Lloyd Hannesson originally meant to take care of it, but he got sidetracked
and is not doing LORD work any more, as of my last email conversations with
him. I have an untested, but fully compiled, Outhouse 2.00 IGM. It is sort
of a "Frankenstein", and not really that great an idea probably.
So I am going to recreate the Outhouse using ANGEL Toolkit, once I have Gem
Trader fully working. With one IGM created and fully tested, it won't take
long to have Outhouse 2.00 ready for public usage again.

Happy Holidays everyone. If anyone else is doing Lord work, please
remember to let people like me know about it. Thanks, Donald.
