Ain't that the truth... and while I'm still here... I'm no longer so naive
as to think that I'll continue to run this system until Fidonet's dying
days.

In fact, I daresay the system is now running on an "only as long as it
survives" mode.

I thought, last week, that I'd permanently crashed a hard drive or
systemboard. (The system does have a documented intermitten powersupply
fault.) Luckily, it was only a congested partition conflicting with needed
swap space -- and mostly attributed to operator error.

However, had the system truly "died".. it was not going to be 'rebuilt'.
