| subject: | Help with snail shells pl |
I have a few ramshorn snails in a freshwater 55g community tank. pH=7.5.
Temp=77 degrees. Bi-weekly 20% water changes. Filtration by proquatics
canister filter as well as hotmagnum. Snalis have been there for many
months. Problem is the exterior of their shells is slowly but progressively
, it looks like dissolving. The normal green/brown color of the shells is
being replaced by the bony white that exists under the outer layer. Almost
as if their shells were being slowly sanded off. They are otherwise
healthy, they mate and lay eggs and are growing. What am I doing wrong?
