I've a very old BJ-200 Canon that I bought a refill kit for
6 years ago, I may soon need to buy another refill kit.
The cartridges have an absorbant foam pad inside and you
need to push the nozzle of the refill into that pad and
not overfill to the point of loose ink in the cartridge.
On occassion my cartridge has failed and simply placing
the head against a hot wet lint free towel has revived it.
I bought the printer in 94, bought three cartridges
and a refill kit and suspect I'll never buy another cartridge.
Your mileage may vary.
