Take a bit of advise from someone that's installed a good number of modems on
Windozz95, don't let Doze autodetect your modem, set the modem as a standard
28,800 and you'll have absolutely no troubles in the future. Windoz tends to
write to the modem's nvram during the setup and can really mess up a modem
that has until the Windoz install run perfectly. If you can manually set (via
jumpers, dip switches) port and IRQ on your modem, then just pick an
appropriate Comm port and IRQ and tell Windoz where the modem is. If you have
one of those "
"Winmodems" then without a proper driver it's just another useless lump of
semiconductors.
