-> Dole will win Ohio regardless of whether he sells out on the gun
-> issue or not.
-> Union-card workers dominate that state, and they feel sold out by the
-> Clintons on NAFTA. Buchanan would have done great in Ohio if he'd
-> stayed in.
The big unions are pulling out all the stops this election to regain
Democratic control of Congress & re-elect Clinton. They plan to throw
35 or 40 million into races and put a minimum of 100 campaign volunteers
in every Congressional district. The Republicans are treating this as a
**VERY** serious threat. I'm already seeing attacks aimed at "union
bosses" aimed at splitting the rank and file AWAY from their leaders.
Will they succeed? Too soon to tell.
Dole also supported NAFTA, so the NAFTA issue is gonna be a wash.
Anybody that wants to protest NAFTA with their vote is gonna have to
cast it for a third party - and that will help elect Clinton, not Dole.

John
