Hello Graham!
Saturday October 18 1997, Graham Drummond writes to Tony Paton:
GD> Your story reminded me for some reason of a strange thing I saw a
GD> couple of years ago at Brisbane Airport. It was a Fokker (uhm..
GD> it's so long since I've been out there I've forgotten what
GD> they're called. Little twinjets that look like a shrunken 727)
It would be a Fokker F28 Fellowship. Ansett and some of the Ansett regionals
flew them extensively in the late 70's and the 80's. East-West flew them as
well. Currently a few are still in service with Ansett WA and Ansett NT. To
me they looked more like a shruken DC-9, although another way of looking at
them would be a Lear Jet on steroids.
Bye for now,
          Jackson
