I believe that this is not possible. My CD-ROM plays redbook through the
drive itself. The rest of my computer doesn't see it unless I run a phono
cable to the soundcard. Note that while some computers have this cable
_inside,_ I know of none that send raw redbook anywhere. (I do know of home
stereo decks with fiber out jacks, though, but this only shows that this is
an extraordinary amount of data.)
