Hi Paul

PE> You need to get the EMX runtime for DOS. FREQ EMXRT.ZIP

RM> done, and now Indent doesn't self-terminate - it just ignores any

RM> parameters I give it, and just shows the help info.

PE> Tell me the command line you used. Hint, it should be:

 PE> INDENT FRED.C

 PE> not

 PE> EMX INDENT FRED.C

PE> which is all I can guess that you could be doing.

No problems there. The exact command line is

 indent io2.c

With no emx.exe available, indent terminates with "emx.exe not

found". With emx.exe in the same dir, indent shows its help info

and doesn't alter the target file. With emx.exe removed,

Quarterdeck's QDPMI.SYS loaded, and rsx.exe from DPMIGCC5.ZIP

renamed to emx.exe and placed in the same directory, indent shows

its help info and doesn't alter the target file.

 PE> and also DPMIGCC5.ZIP.

RM> why? it just looks like another emx animal

PE> I am surprised you have a VCPI environment. You need DPMI to use in a DPMI

 PE> environment. BFN. Paul.

What's VCPI?

Do you actually have a real Dos environment to test this in?

Just to remove any confusion, I'm using indent.exe 94178 bytes

dated 04-05-96 from indentpe.zip, same date, timestamped 50 seconds

later than the exe.

Cheers
