| subject: | OS/2 SMP programming |
I have written a program using Cset++ 2.1 which I would like to take
advantage of SMP systems.
I have been told that there is some flag in the LX header to indicate
to OS/2 SMP whether multiple threads are allowed to run on different
processors concurrantly. How do I set this thread? Does Cset++ allow me
to do it?
Are there any problems that I'm likely to run across when using OS/2
SMP? I don't currently own an SMP system for test purposes (although I
believe that I will be able to use some-one else's for short periods of
time) so I need to make sure that my program is very likely to work before
I test it as I won't be able to test much/often.
For those of you who are interested I am writing a Terminal Server for
OS/2 (a program to answer modems and log the callers in to a UNIX system
via the TELNET protocol). If anyone has an OS/2 SMP system and a suitable
TCP/IP network setup and would like to beta test my software then please
contact me.
My Internet EMAIL address is rjc{at}snoopy.apana.org.au.
