mail it to the RCMA Board of Directors in protest.

While I know USSN is not the only magazine in financial straights (both
PopComm and the now dead CB Radio still owe their column editors for at
six months worth of columns at the minimum) let's remember that this guy
went out of business once before. If not for the formerly deep pockets
of Ken Gilbert, this magazine would have stayed dead. USSN also has not
paid several of its bills so its writers are not the only ones standing
around waiting to be paid. As of now only Monitoring Times and National
Scanning are paying its writers.

For RCMA to align itself with a publication whose past and present
practices are murky at best is an outrage! Better RCMA have died an
honorable death than to do this.

I am urging all RCMA editors to refuse to have anything to do with USSN
until such time as ALL of its formerly paid staff have recieved the FULL
compensation due them. For you to do anything less would be
dishonorable.

Dear Mr. Gravis,

We have never been introduced but I appreciate your support of the
writers who are owed money, and I appreciate the manner in which you
detailed the facts.

I have been a member of RCMA since 1978 or '79, if it were not
for the contacts I made at RCMA I would never have gotten paid a dime
for writing about a hobby I love. In fact, who nows how far my interest
in the hobby would have been cultivated. It was the fine writing of my
predisesors and correspondense with other RCMA members that got the
scanner fire burning in my belly. I am trully sad about the way things
turned out. I loved writing for both USSN & RCMA. But, life will go on,
it always does.

plan to restart RCMA as a separate journal in the near future. He was
an old time RCMA member and is aware people are prowd of that standing.
Good idea if they can pull it off. >>
