I called the Landua factory yesterday and you'll have no idea what all I
found out. I hardily recommend calling the factory (any manufacturer) before
you buy. I found out about options that the factory was willing to do that
the dealer didn't even know about. Like add a third pontoon to a boat that
doesn't normally come with 3.
I have now decided on the exact make, model, features, and dealer of my
boat.
I'm going with the Landau DX-24 (24') with a 1996 deck plan (not the 97
deck plan, I hate it). I'm going to add a third pontoon to a normally two
pontoon boat and this will allow me to get the exact boat I liked with the
performance I wanted from a different model.
The factory guy even said that because I was going with an older deck
plan I should even get a small discount on the price. I'm almost on cloud 9.
That'll come in January.
Oh, by the way. If y'all haven't noticed. I'm real pleased with Landau
boats. I have had nothing but good experiences with the manufacturer and
dealer. The specific dealer I'm going through is Uncle Gus's Marine on Lake
Whitney in Texas. This isn't an advertisement. Just passing along some valued
information.
