You must be talking about using the whole bridge and only using the trans- former's center tap and one other tap. See my other reply to you on that. The way that we are talking about using the bridge you'll draw full current from half of the transformer, then full current from the other half of the transformer. This is exactly how it was designed. The only difference is that there are two unused diodes in the package and the used ones are connected together already. TTYL.
