There were reports yesterday of increasing resistance, in Kabul itself, to the
Taliban enforcement of their interpretation of Islamic law, an underground
newsletter etc. I found this heartening. It will be interesting to see
whether
Taliban adjust their attitude and allow women back to work and school, or
whether they'll get swept away by the next round.
