Actually, the nature of your position in Z2 and the likes that the person who left was in Z7 probably had something to do with it. I don't have the weight of the IC or ZC position behind me, pushing people to the brink. Some predictions are so accurate. I will NOT reveal who it came from, but I expect at least a few will recognize the style.... (and I'm NOT saying he's completely wrong either!) -------------------------------------- They win. Satti bent over. There's an interesting documentation of what Region 12, and Net 163 in particular, have in mind for FidoNet, and it isn't good. Fido was _supposed_ to be a mix of both social *and* technical aspects...that was what I was working for, and if anything, held back quite a few from going too far. Read the site...lemme dig it up... http://www.carleton.ca/~jweston/papers/0992.dod The specifics referenced to Herriot/Logger make it clear what the intent is all about...to turn Fido solely into a social matter, rather than one open to _all_. Satti is effectively gone. Satti has been passing along information from BK to Jared, apparently all along. And now, with his effective "blessing", they will likely put in Jeff "Jesus" Christ in as R10C, and we will once more have a moron pushing for a "decent, Christian region" like he did the last time. Ruth and her sycophants are pushing to remove all the NCs who either sent in the PC or voted for Bob. Brenda apparently has some relationship with Hallford, and he got the names of who voted for BK from her. Region 10 will be purged, and then...they will go after Region 11, giving an absolute majority of the RCC to the control of Souvestre. Hinton will be removed as well...that will be the 'warning'. Souvestre wanted to get rid of Bob because someone broke faith and let him know what was being intended...the idea was to try and set up a non-commercial backbone that Souvestre could not control. Since Satti did not do as Souvestre asked, which was to appoint Adrian Walker as ZEC, Satti has been targetted for removal. Once he is out as ZC, Dossche will then make the claim that Satti is no longer eligible to be IC, a point which Dallas Hinton actually stupidly agreed with Bodger on. With Bodger and Hinton representing "both sides" of the issue, Dossche will have a good case. IC Dossche, ZC Bodger, and don't be surprised if Adrian Walker "decides" to come back and become the new ZEC. Herriot/Logger thnks that Dossche is sweetness and light...he hasn't bothered to look and see the side of Dossche that he shows to his enemies. In place of a 'no-rules, happy anarchy', Dossche will institute a firm and iron rule...one only has to ask the nodes in "Zone 7" about their constant efforts to be set apart from Zone 2. Interesting how we never see _those_ election results, no? There was a chance to save FidoNet, and get some of the old guard programmers to be involved in moving us to the InterNet, but Satti caving in has effectively killed that. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
