12379f1082ba tech Hello Greg - CA>> My complaint is that I really don't _want_ all that extra CA>> code when I am browsing the WWW. If I wanted cartoons I'd CA>> watch early morning TV or rent a video. GE> Yeah, don't you just hate those people who insist on GE> putting silly things on their pages like multiple bouncing GE> balls that follow your mouse around? ;) Two different websites. The FAF (Family and Friends) website was not originally 'public' and all family members and their friends use newer hardware and software. The children enjoy playing with the 'slinky' animation that is used on that page. The website was intended as 'entertainment' not as informational or a reference of any sort. The link from my tech website is 'entertainment'. There are other mouse-cursor animations where a giant bee chases normal sized bees around the screen and another where the 'big bad wolf' chases on of the three little pigs around the screen. At the tech website that has _always_ been public there is no javascripting of any kind. Not even a 'sniffer'. All of the 'fancy stuff' is server-side CGI that imposes no speed penalty on the user nor requests any CPU cycles from the user's machine. Even text-only browsers get the same pages and have no problems using the tech website. At least you bothered to look. Both websites serve a purpose, just different purposes. ;-) > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
