Here is where you show your lack of contact with kids--

Hmmm, why is it that when I have asked the kids how they feel the second day 
of an extended vacation, the vast majority say, "I'm bored!"
Most of the kids I know don't really hate school, it is something you have to 
say, at least that is what they say to me.  Eighth graders are fairly blunt 
and straight about what they feel.
