I quite agree. TGM is clearly the Goof's first chance to show off his
acting ability, and he made good use of it. One generally doesn't expect
releases from the TV Animation division to be of much artistic worth,
but I think this film ranks above some of the lesser releases from the
Feature Animation division. ("Robin Hood", to cite just one pathetic
entry.)
Goofy has done yoeman work over the year in shorts. Always before
he has played either the victim of the script's foolishness or as second
fiddle to Mickey. I'm glad he finally got his chance in the spotlight.
Question: What Disney character would _you_ like to see get their own
chance at a starring role in a feature-length film? What would the story
be about?
