if you use the proper software it WILL get rid of the thing... however,
if even one document is left infected or if you receive more infected
documents and then open an infected document then the virus will spread
again...
your problem seems to be that you are either not cleaning all the
infected files or that you are receiving new infected files and not
scanning them before opening them... these are the only two ways by
which what you described can happen...
as far as not cleaning all the infected files it's possible (unlikely at
this stage but still possible) that you're using a scanner that still
can't reliably identify viruses in *.do? files... try f-macro(w) for
that purpose... for new files coming in, make sure you scan them before
you open them...
