It's an interesting thought though... how to seriously modify your computer by swapping all the addresses using hardware gates. ROFL! It'd almost be worth the effort just to know I was fucking hundreds of enthusiasts. All I'd need to publish is a list of addresses and IRQs, the names of all the CMOS gates, an article showing how to do it... and then leave them all on their own to fuck things up - TOTALLY! ROFL! It appeals to me. I'd start with the hard drive... swap it around so they never find Drive C: again. We could follow up with a series on how to reburn your BIOS.
