Hello Janis! 19 Jul 08 14:48, you wrote to Russell Tiedt: JK> It's on backbone.no now, but I'm still carrying it. This affords individual systems, especially those we recently listed to be able to setup their message bases with a list (backbone.na) that rosters echoes that have traffic as opposed to forcing sysops to entice users with a massive slot of dead echoes. One can still use backbone.no in addition to the na file. Remember that with this last audit, 21 echoes came out of BACKBONE.NO and went back into BACKBONE.NA. Albeit a far greater number went into oblivion. However, a echo with no traffic cannot convey any information. The majority of the echoes that went into oblivion, backbone.dst, also hailed from 5, 10 and even 15 years ago. I hope you werent under the impression that BACKBONE.NO rostered echoes were meant to go away, that is each individual sysops choice. == Ross Fidonet Feeds Or Fidonet In Your Newsreader: http://www.easternstar.info E-mail: ross(at)cassell(dot)us | Blogs/Other Places: http://links.cassell.us ...
