| subject: | WinXP and 98SE question |
Will Win98SE install and run comfortably on a Pentium 120 with 32 MB RAM? This will not be a "heavy-duty" system. It currently runs MS-DOS 6.22 with Desqview (remember that relic?). As configured, I cannot load the DOS MS Networking drivers and have enough memory to run some of my DOS apps under DV. I am figuring that I will be able to network better with my main Win system without having to reboot to lose the Network TSRs. Also, will Arachne run under Win9x in a DOS window with a non-Winmodem? If not, will it run if I restart in DOS mode? Finally, will WinXP install and run confortably on a Pentium-MMX 200 with 96MB RAM? If not, will it run with 128MB or higher? --- * SLMR 2.1a * "THE BOX!!
