BB>Correctamundo again. The information that you are talking about, is
BB>called the "ADI". Your normal data for E911 consists of ANI, ALI,
BB>and ADI. ANI is provided by the telephone company, and stands for
BB>Automatic Number Identification. ALI, which can be provided by
BB>either the local telco, another company under contract, (Which may be
BB>another telco, many miles away from your area), or in the database at
BB>the 911 center.
BB>ADI, Automatic Detail Information, has to be handloaded, into the
BB>computer at the 911 center.
BB>Many E911 centers still do not have ADI, just ALI and ANI.
Any ADI information that we have in Boston (here we call it Premise
History) is hand loaded into the Computer Aided Dispatch system, not the
E 9-1-1 system. The E 9-1-1 system only has ALI and ANI, as you state.
Depending on the hardware and software configuration, the ADI could be
included into either system. In our system, eventually, the ALI and ANI
will be automatically transferred from the E 9-1-1 system into the CAD
system. The reason for the separation is that while 94% of the state has
9-1-1, only the larger systems use CAD.
