Hi list,

I just found this newsgroup, in effort to help a lady in Sweden find her
late husbands ancestors.

Johann Dreffling, came to Sweden 1580, married Ingeborg Persdotter Stenholm
1584, died 1588/1598 in the war in Poland.

Johan Drefling/Dreffling decended from Eugenius Drefling, Tyrol, whom was
awarded, raised, 1446 for bravehood at the battle by Warna, to nobility. The
family are said to come from Tyrolen, Austria and Trento, Italy. It is also
said that in the church in Insbr�ck there was a arm of coats signed by
Urganus Drefling 1290. That church was ruined in a fire 200 years ago
according to family.

We would like to find maybe an archive with documents from this time,
1400-1500�s, to find this Johan Drefflings family in Tyrol.
