That's part of the joys of being a "fan", Paul - you get to pick
your own team. RedHat seems to be gaining a lot of followers, and has more
of a "commercial bent" (not that it changes how you get the base
release, but anyway) with a graphical install.
I tried it once (RedHat 3.0.3), was at first quite impressed with the GUI
install, quickly tired of it, have returned to Slackware. Will continue
with Slackware for a while yet.
"We" (a whole bunch at work) have just bulk ordered a stack of
InfoMagic August 1996 6-CD sets, and will probably all use Slackware 3.1.0
from the sets, since RedHat is just 3.0.3 again.
PE> I think everyone at work is a fan of the Infomagic one. 6 CDs.
InfoMagic bundles together a group of "distributions", from which
you pick the one you want; the best two on the InfoMagic CD set are
Slackware and RedHat.
Cheers..
