no... generally speaking, known and unknown pertain to if the session is
secure or not... if you are not using a session password between your
system and alan's, you might should consider setting one up... the reason
for this is because i can set up a system to fly someone else's node number
and poll you... if there's mail there for that number, i'll probably get
it... if you have a session level password set up, i won't know it and my
connection will fail so the mail will be safe...
