Duty forecaster: Dan Graves
Clouds and wind spread into much of the northern continent, some areas
of rain and snow as well. Unsettled central and east Mediterranean.
Tuesday
Mostly dry and sunny through Spain and Portugal, pleasantly warm in the
west and southwest. Cloudy with chance of showers near the Balearics,
Sardinia, and Corsica. Mostly dry and sunny in northern Italy. Southern
Italy, Sicily and Greece will be wet, some heavy and thundery
downpours. Rain and mountain snow in Trkiye.
High pressure settles over central-western Europe maintaining settled,
dry weather. Fog may persist across France and the Low Countries. An
incoming breeze will prevent fog further east as the day goes on. Dry
across the Alps, Hungary and Romania. More clouds but remaining dry
along the Adriatic coast.
Rain affects Denmark and southern Sweden in the morning, moving across
northeast Germany and northern Poland. Some rain and flurries into
Belarus and the Baltic countries as well. Windy through all northern
areas, particularly near coasts. Frequent rain and mountain snow for
western Norway.
Wednesday
Spain and Portugal remain fine and sunny. Scattered clouds and few
showers across the Balearics, Sardinia, and Corsica. Showers more
frequent in southern Italy and southern Greece, some heavy. These will
begin to clear into the evening.
High pressure over France allows for fog to build here, in the Low
Countries, and Germany. Widely cloudy across much of Central Europe,
some clear skies in Switzerland and northern Italy. Snow showers in the
Austrian Alps and mountains areas nearby in Poland and Croatia. Drier
further south with greater chance for sun spells.
Becoming breezy in the UK and much of Scandinavia. Rain widespread on
Norway's west coast, spreading across northern Sweden and Finland as
snow through the day. Mostly dry south of here in Denmark and the
