Well the knee took a hit in 1976 when an elderly gentleman
in a Sedan Deville crossed Missouri Ave., three lanes northbound 
against traffic. Two cars split off either side and I had
nowhere to go finding myself looking at the underside of 
the radiator of the car behind me after bouncing off the Sedan.
Unable to move at that time the elderly gentleman proceeded
to lift me repeatedly by the jacket and drop me to the pavement
saying "it's not my fault I didn't see you", over and over
again. The guy whose car nearly hit me from behind
punched the elderly gentleman sparing me further 
head bouncing on pavement. That man suffered a stroke
2 weeks later to neve drive again.
Cop that investigated and wrote it up was quite likable
and even came back after his shift ended to see how
I was doing at Morton Plant hospital.
Surgically repaired the knee gave me no difficulty for  some
25 years but wear and tear from working heavy labor on concrete
floors and age took a toll so now it's giving me some grief
again.

Well knee problem is injury and wear related but 
the spinal injury was entirely uneccessary.
A cop following me on U.S. 19 Southbound was tailgating
me at a distance of 2 feet quite literally and that resulted in an
accident. I was doing nothing wrong, the motorcycle was legal 
in all regards and there was no escape as I had a median
to the left and the car in the middle lane
overlapped the car in front and patrol car in back.
What made that cop approach to that distance repeatedly defies
any reason I've ever been able to think of but it put 
an end to my working career. 
It was the third time I moved ahead to maintain rational distance
when I found myself trapped and in point of fact at this point
I was not only completely trapped but tailgating myself
having nowhere to go.
Took me seven years to figure out how I could have escaped injury and 
that would have been to jump onto the hood of the patrol car. 
Not something you think of at a time you're literally in terror 
facing an insane and utterly unexpected situation.
Would have been hard for the cop to explain how I could have done
that were he not following illegally and wrecklessly close.
No medical attention was given at the jail where I was
taken for the three offences the officer wrote me up for
this despite the fact I had to soak my jeans off for 2 1/2 months
in a tub of water with a dollop of bleach to stave off infection.
Not to mention the crushed disc which is a permanant injury.
I don't recall what two of the made up charges were but I
do recall the insanity of him citing me for tailgating.
I've taken care never to learn the officers name
as twelve years of agonizing pain every waking moment
can make one think of retribution.
Later While attempting to return to work in the computer field
and attending school all on SSDI Shontavia Varrise Curry
turned directly in front of me destroying my L-4 - L-5 vertibra. 
My drivers license lists my height at 6'6" however
on last checking I'm now 6'3 1/2."
The cop had previously wiped out the L-5 - sacrum disc.
Hey at least I can buy shirts off the rack instead of 
Tall Men's stores now. All my lost height in in the lumbar spine.
Oh yeah Shontavia had her drivers license almost two weeks when 
she ran into me.
Cop didn't see fit to cite the driver despite her passenger
admitting fault right in front of him plus the evidence
at the scene nor did he write an accident report despite
massive damage to her vehicle with mine completely totaled 
out. I'm leaving out a couple of medical conditions
from that insanity but covered the big ones.
