If it's an old shop, (RPGIII or RPG400), it'd be an easy transition, they
are both pretty similar to and extended RPGII. (especially if you have
other programming experience, which you obviously do.)
If it's new software with ILE RPG, you might want to read up a bit on it,
it's a revolutionary change. Actually it might help you here if you have
something like C++ or Java for the newer things in it. (Java is getting
pretty big on the 400 as well, so if you have Java experience...)
I haven't had any formal training in ILE RPG either, and I know I'm not
using a 10th of the new stuff that I could be using if I had the time to
figure out how. :( (a lot of my job is maintaining old RPGIII or RPG400
code as well as some PC and admin stuff.)
