| subject: | Filling up Ink Cart. |
Good morning, Wayne. WC> Oh my yes. I rendered a similar cartridge a useless mess by just WC> filling it expecting the foam to soak up the ink. I did the upright job on it but it took overnight to really soak in and give me good output. Now, does not miss a line. WC> breather plug I remove and replace with the refill kit's WC> included tool. WC> small plastic sheet under that cap cut from a sandwich WC> bag just like the plastic tab they come with to keep WC> the head from drying out. You have to keep a breathing hole on it. I also kept these plastic cover for the head and always use one per tank. WC> I'd operate on mine because the sheet feed mechanism is busted WC> but I don't have the rubber belt that dislodged itself with the WC> next page I printed after it stopped self feeding. That part should be available but cost more to buy than a new printer. Remember, I got on eBay a brand new Lexmark Z32 for $21.00, no ink. That was the hard part to stomach. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/1 379/1 633/267 |
