Hello everybody. I have been using COM/IP for the last little while so I'm stuck on some of the old ways... I have installed and I'm starting to play with OS/2 ... I have FD/2 & Ray's SIO2K SIO driver /w VMODEM. There... I need to know what to do with the fdnode.ctl file or whatever it is that I need to change to make this work. VMODEM seems to default to port 23 &/OR Port 3141 .. I know this because I can get FD to answer calls on either one of those 2 ports without touching anything in any setup file anywhere.. problem is this... When I go to make a call out VMODEM (In an old DOC that I found in a different archive...said) dial like this "IP.Address Port.Number". If I'm in the terminal application of FD and type "ATDT 192.168.???.??? 3141" it connects to my point mailer... BUT ... when I go to do this with my mailer it doesn't seem to work. I have played with all kinds of combinations and can't get the mailer to dial the IP address put a space and add the port number. Ideas?? thanx IB ---* Origin: Joe's Computer, Crystal River, Fl USA telnet.joesbbs.c (1:275/312.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/312 312 311 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
