 What about DLL's though ? How do you detect which arcanely-named
 DLL's are relevant to what program ?

 I cleaned out dozens of DLL's a few weeks ago. I think I deleted
 some pertinent ones, as I had to re-install windows. It was
 worth it though. I reclaimed about 20 megs or so of HDD space.
