Hmng. My experience with WP5.1dos, 6.0dos or 6.1win and TIFF files is mixed.
Some of them are consistent heavy crashers -- like your experience -- and 
some print not too well. And others are near perfect within the limitiations.
I am under the impression that there is eithter no _good_ TIFF standard or 
many programs do not adhere to it.
