When I started working in telecom, running Northern Telecom PBXes in 1991,
we used wide-carriage paper TTYs to connect to the PBXes at 110 baud. It was
nice having a paper record of the overnight log activity as well as whatever
you did when admin'ing the switch. Burned through reams of 11x17 greenbar
paper, though.
