I recall that to upgrage the DUN (dialup networking) at one
point it was necessary to complete certain steps in an EXACT
sequence to remove the existing DUN or the 'upgrade' would
totally trash the setup. 

I probably have the step-by-step instructions file around here
somewhere but I know it's not on my hard drive (I looked some
time back for it and it was not here). 

There may be other 'updates' with similar requirements that I
do not remember but just the DUN will be a stopper if not
handled properly since Internet access is the intended use for
the machine.
