OK - look in \pythoncvs\lib\lib-dynload - clear out any .pyd files that 
aren't dated the same as the one's in the zip...  That should clear it 
up....

The Python on hobbes has more optional libraries included than my old 
build - it's probably still loading the ones and getting confused..
