One of our buildings is in the Auckland CBD but we were on the right side
of the road and still had power (from the Ponsonby Substation).......;-) We
had the power co. asking if they could "rent" our 3 x 1.1MW
Emergency Generators, but it was not possible to synchronize them to the
Power Grid without spending big money. Central Auckland was kept alive by
one of the large Container boats remaining birthed and usings its
Generators to power the city, I think it was there for about 7 weeks...

We could have easily sold each "spare" desk for around $5,000 per
week, but all desks had already been taken.........;-)
