| subject: | HPT creating long file names? |
All,
I have been seeing an issue long packet names coming from a system,
though they do seem to be only for netmails... The packets have an extra
"00" as part of their name; like 4639c30d00.pkt or 4646f20b00.pkt. Both
created by this program: "hpt/lnx 1.4.0-sta 25-02-07".
My system will not toss a packet that is not in the 8.3 format; doesn't
seem to think that it is a proper packet file... Renameing the files by
dropping that extra "00" out of the name, & they toss with no
problem...
I've already netmailed the sysop of the system I received the packets
from, but I'm also wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this?
