I think I have a Slot 1 board which supports up to PIII 800 MHz at 100 FSB or so, but that would require a 'Slotket' card for the Socket 370 chips. Not really sure, as I've never investigated it. What is your board's make, model and Revision number? I'll try do do some looking. Some board mfgrs are better about posting their boards' cpu compatibility than others. - - - JimH. ...
