JH>Awww. too bad. As I posted earlier this year, I'm now on my second JH>toner refill on the cartridge in the HP LJ-4L here, and I intend to JH>keep on refilling it until something dies. AAMOF, the toner refill kit JH>had too much toner in there for it, so I could have mailed you the JH>excess toner as a freebie - - would have at least let you test it out JH>for free, and determine if the printer was in fact 'dead' or not. JH> Give us a report as things progress. Eventualy the "Coated Drum" wil lget scratched or loose it's capability to take a static charge and you wil lhave to replace the cartridge itslef. OF course minor variations in tone of the printot is quite tollerable for casual printing. But it will be intersting just how many refills you get. Fro my uses the wife does soem semi professional correspondance and Letter Perfect copy is manditory so I don't use refills. In fact I don t like Off Brand cartridges either. Every time I go cheap and try them tyey are far less satisfactory then the Genuine HP toner cartridge. It is a litle slow and has a small paper drawer but I always liked the HP 4L. In fact I stil lhave one tucked away somewhere. lso o na test machien I am still using a EPSON Laser 1500 printer. but as the Cartridge runs somethoing over $200 and is NOT refilable(at least NO one will refill it in my area) it goes to the Recycler when it dosne't work any more and I will start using the HP 4L on the test bench machine. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
