Picked up my first Ebay auction purchase from UPS today. A Gibson
Gospel. This is a mahogany sides & back, spruce top, made in Montana
dreadnought that was made from about 1993 to last year. It's got a
beautiful bassy sound, much fuller than the LG1 I just sold. It also
plays almost as easy as my electrics. It's got an unusual (for an
acoustic) arched back and no bracing on the back.
Having played a bunch of acoustics at the music stores in the last
couple of years, I knew this was the one I wanted. I was lucky to find
one in very good shape at a reasonable price. It will work great for
the "unplugged" songs on set list my buddies and I have come up with.
