Elvis gushed,
-> Aint they amazin! Completely bughouse about getting wet!
-> Wonder do they get that excited in the wild when it rains?
Wouldn't that be a sight- a whole herd of them flapping, eyes pinning,
screaming, squabbling to get the wettest spot.
-> Well the old Lilac Crown just wasted away and died after his Great
-> Dane buddy died, and the Yellow Cheek got too mean to live with. (My
-> office manager left and he just never got over it.)
-> A little girl in town came out to see some puppies and she fell in
-> love with him, and he with her, so in a moment of madness I Gave him
-> to her.
-> He hasn't bit anybody or gone on a major 24 hour screaming fit since!
Sorry about the Lilac Crown. That must've been one strange affair of
the heart. Sounds like the Yellow Cheek is where he's meant to be too.
You are most generous.
-> I'm working on getting an invitation to the INS parrot auction as we
-> speak. If I can and if the out of state dealers don't drive the
-> prices out of sight I hope to get another Lilac Crown. They're not
-> popular with very many folks besides me!
I've never had the privilege of seeing one in person- in pictures they
look stunning. They must have nice dispositions, huh? My DYH hen,
Zigs, is an incredibly sweet, gentle bird. If you aren't TOO set on a
lilac crown, Fran Warwick, a fellow Texan, breeds some gorgeous, huge
Amazons. You should see the picture she sent me of a basket full of DYH
babies- beautiful little blimps with lots of yellow on their heads
already.
