If you're lucky enough to have a modern cable company that offers this, it's
definitely the way to go. However, if you happen to live in a neighborhood
that fills up with cable modem surfers, your performance will decrease as
more come online, as all are sharing the same finite bandwidth over the
common cable.
xDSL is a nailed-down dedicated line with bandwidth that's fixed and 100%
exclusively yours 24 hours a day. That's why it's more expensive. :-)
