With an LSI 22801, I used to be able to select which device to boot from.
In fact, at the time   
that was the only way I could boot from my CD drive! Then I updated the
system BIOS, and it no   
longer worked. Unfortunately, I needed the update, or I'd have flashed the
older version again.

BBS again!  Award broke it, and either won't or can't fix it. The folks at
LSI even told them   
what the problem was, and how to fix it (or at least that's what they told
me). Their BIOS is   
just not fully BBS compliant. I *suspect* it has something to do with
appeasing Microsoft.
